Ferenc Seman (1934-2004) was a Ukrainian and Hungarian painter, avant-garde artist, a master of a still life and psychological portrait. Ferenc studied at Uzhhorod art school (1953-1958) and at Tallinn art institute (1958-1960). The artist was one of the most talented students of A. Erdely and F. Manailo. He was on friendly terms with S. Parajanov. On Yablonska’s invitation the artist worked in the creative teamwork in Sednev in 1960s. The painter belonged to the artistic underground of the Sixtiers. His first personal exhibition took place in 1990. He lived and worked in Uzhhorod.
