Sergei Belik was born in Odessa in 1953. In 1973 he graduated from the Odessa Art School named after Grekov.

Later he studied in St. Petersburg, Art School named after Mukhina. Since 1987 - member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine. Sergey Belik has participated in many national, all-union and international exhibitions. His works are in the collections of many domestic and foreign museums. As well as in private collections and galleries. In 2005-2006, the work of S. Belik were auctioned at Sotheby's, Christie's, Philips. From 2000 to 2009 the artist lived, worked and exhibited regularly in New York, USA.
